ICC releases revised International Code of Direct Selling

ICC this week released its newly revised International Code of Direct Selling which was developed in close co-operation with the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), representing the basis for direct selling governance worldwide.

APEC Trade Committee agrees to advance on ad standards

Prior to the 3-4 February meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)’s Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI) in Indonesia, each of the lead representatives of the 21 member economies were urged by ICC to support work advancing advertising standards in the region.

Commercialisation of children: Bailey briefs ICC Commission on UK actions

At the most recent meeting of the Commission on Marketing and Advertising, Reg Bailey, Chief Executive of Mothers’ Union, spoke about the six-month independent review he led for the UK government on the question of commercialisation and sexualisation of childhood and the findings of the report in which he calls upon businesses and media to protect children from what he refers to as the increasingly sexualized ‘wallpaper’ that surrounds them.
